Alternative Queer Visions for the Future
Date posted 26 October 2006
Students from the Victorian College of the Arts are making a giant quilt in preparation for the G20 meeting in Melbourne. Their quilt will present an alternative vision for the future to counteract the destructive greed that G20 leaders will be promoting at the meeting. The Queer Activist Network is encouraging all queer students and activists to design a patch for the quilt with their vision for the future. The patches should be painted on 50 by 50 cm piece of calico with 2 cm margins around the side. You will need to act fast though as the quilt will start being sewn together in a week or so. To arrange getting your patches to the VCA kids or for more information please email uncie.iain@gmail.com Iain Finlayson Co-Convenor Queer Activist Network
